by DMADevelopers DMADevelopers | Oct 14, 2019

After an initial veto by the Governor, LB 472 passed by override. The bill will allow qualifying counties to begin assessing sales and use tax of one-half of one percent. The tax will be administered by the state and follow the same applicable regulations as the state. The county tax must pass a two-thirds majority and shall begin on the first day of the first calendar quarter which begins at least 60 days after receipt by the Tax Commissioner of the certified copy of the resolution.
